I also find it interesting that interest in hybrid cars waned even before gas prices hit their peak. Perhaps due to so little availability?

So see whether the decrease in searches for hybrid cars is gas related or economy related, check a graph of searches for “bicycle” and then “shoes you can boil and eat.”
