The Republicans have crossed their “no new revenue” line in the sand. That’s a step in the right direction.
Cons
I’d still rather go over the fiscal cliff. The Republican Proposal includes a plan to lower taxes on top earners, maintain spending on stuff Republicans like, and cut spending on things Democrats like even more than sequestration already would have.
It’s an “offer” in the same way “how about I give you a knuckle sandwich” is an offer.
