I think The Callus may be right here. After a string of solid economic news, we may be looking at more comfortable economic times by the time the election rolls around. If things are going decently well, it’s going to be a lot harder to run as the Party of No. The desire to circle the wagons and watch out for yourself and your immediate family—without regard to anybody else—will diminish as we emerge from economic panic mode.
