I’m sorry, were you expecting this blog to contain something other than photos of the stilt corgi?
Dear Carolyn,
Our dog is a border collie. His is now named Beckett. He is not a “stilt corgi.”
Dan
Edit: For clarification, yes, the dog is on a dresser by the window. He’d started hanging outon the dining room table while we were out so he could look out the window and watch for us to get back. I couldn’t think of how to train him out of that tendency, so we compromised. He now has a spot where he can look out the window and lie down at the same time. He still jumps on the table … but I guess he’s at least not napping up there. So we’ve got some work to do on that front.
And yes, that’s a Roomba running on the floor. Beckett does not like Roomba. He wants to protect us from Roomba, which he does by trying to grab Roomba while it’s running and take it … somewhere. I don’t really know what his end game is—because I’m not going to let him abscond with Roomba. I don’t think that would end well. Fortunately, Beckett can watch (or pointedly ignore) Roomba all he wants from his perch by the window. Unless Roomba gets near one of his toys, in which case he needs to mount a daring rescue.
Edit the Second: Happy Saturday night. You’re reading a blog. I’m not judging. But … if you want to kill the rest of the night, search Google for a picture of a Corgi on stilts. It will dull the pain—but never mention what you did this night in respectable company. If anybody asks, just tell them you went on a cocaine-fueled crime spree, blacked-out part way through, and can’t really remember.
