This election cycle will have an interesting pattern. Previously reporters learned about something on day 1 and everybody else who was paying attention learned about it on day 2 when the reporters wrote about it. Now we have day where the reporters and people paying close attention learn things, day 2 when the people who read or watch the news learn things, day three when people whose friends make them watch youtube videos learn things, and day 4 when the parodies come out and people who like parodies watch the original so they know what’s being mocked.
